Rum Label Design

The sample label design was for a new brand of Bacardi rum, with two goals in mind, regarding the consumption and retailing. The goal for consumption led the design to indicate it is to be consumed – while hanging with friends, pre-dinner/pre-clubbing drinks at home, or watching sports at home. The retailing aspect would sell the product in bars, or have Canadian consumers purchase it at the LCBO; males age 19-40 years are intended as the primary audience, and female ages 19-40 years as the secondary.

The label captures aspects of what the target audience primarily is looking for, using elements such as typography resembling neon lights and a warm color scheme to invoke warmth and optimism and energy.
